Firstly, new ficcage at Memlu Speaks Fic: two Fruits Basket drabbles of the KaguraxKyou variety - an angsty piece and a bizarre piece - and two Teen Titans drabbles - a CyborgxRaven-ish one and a Beast BoyxStarfire-ish one.

I finally have my computer back. ^__^ In order to celebrate, I've begun working on Bring Me to Life, a ReBoot one-shot of epic proportions, comedy fanfics for Mankin (Mantou! Annou! Ryserg! Naked...someone!), and a parody of "Zorro/Luffy." Because it needs be done, people. It needs be done.

First off, JSF - darling, love, angel, goddess of parody fanfiction - how the HELL can you not know the wondrous beauty of Funky Cops? *is horrified* It only came on right after the pilot episode of Shaman King-the-dub! (And then, FoxBox decided to be a bootch and changed the Mankin schedule, thereby confusing all idiots. *coughs and points at self*) Ah, Funky Cops is just so beautiful...it's sort of like the WB!'s Ozzy and Drix. Only on acid. (I reviewed the preview, so yah. SAMURAIIII JEDIIII!) And I totally agree on the shounen ai bit - for me, at least. ^^; And thanksies for the birthday wishes.

Pei Yi, I'm confoozled. 0o; Somehow I managed to view Delirium-san's LJ, which might be either a testament to my ingenious hacking skills...or God is merciless at mocking me. The main reason I want LJ is because, once, long ago, I had one. And then I forgot my password. And the e-mail server I was using crashed. And God said, "Thou art humorous." By the by, is this the same Nik from the One Piece section that I love, adore, and all but worship? *_*

So lessee...I posted a very short Trigun fanfic with Vash x Meryl sentiments (and it's actually canon!) at FanFiction.net entitled 'Abandon' (*cough!* read it and you won't get cancer! *cough!*). Anyway. I have a teaser and a prologue up for an alternate universe Trigun fic with Vash x Meryl (ironic, considering I'm more interested in Wolfwood x Milly) at Memlu Speaks Fic, where few dare to tread and those who do reap the rewards.

Oh, yeeeeah - Memlu owns ass. *is groovin' to the disco beat* I mentioned Funky Cops is sexy, right?

So, for all those interested - the comment box is back! The archives exist! The blog crew is updated! I've got the links up! And I added Lacewood, because deep down inside, I'm a fangirl/stalker just like every other adolescent female in this crazy country. Am thinking of adding Derlirum, because the writing - purty. Unfortunately, in spite of my sixteen years and supposed gained maturity, I'm still shy as hell.

This is why I don't IM people - I get tongue-tied and flustered.

But damn, people, I feel so horrifically gifted now that I can actually work on my template. And I managed to not delete my archives this time! *squeezes self with joy*

Pei Yi: You picked up on one of the main reasons I never thought Mankin would be aired on American television - at least not on a Saturday morning, when small, impressionable minds such as my own could watch it amidst such classy fare as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Mucha Lucha whilst devouring coma-inducing sugar cereal. (Behold the run-on sentence and be amazed! And, er, I have nothing against mutated turtles named after Renaissance artists. I do, however, have a great deal of something against South Park reminiscent animated wrestling. ;_; Oh Zeta Project, how I miss thee...) As for the fic... *makes cooing sounds* And I'll love forever and ever and ever...

Mandii: You know you only want it for the smutty threesome fun. :D But, yah, I've decided to start scripting some epic Anna x Yoh x Manta brouhaha, just for the heck of it. Why? Because it's an alternate pairing, no one else has done it, I wanna see if I can make it semi-canon, and, uh, I'm crazy like that.

But never fear! The Hao x Jeanne smutfic and the Mantou fic should be done before that time. And, um, Bring Me to Life, my current WIP. That, uh, would be good. ><;

I feel weird right now. Like I'm on the verge of something. Anyway, Hurricane Isabel is supposed to strike the Virginian Coast this week, so I'll try my best to post regularly - just to allay your fears of my dying horribly amidst storms. ;P

Okay, so - I'm mad. It's incredibly frustrating on occasion, and I know ya'll have no interest in my personal angers - ^^; - but I have decided I am Not Happy with Blogger. Most notable is the fact that somehow, someway, Blogger completely reloaded my template, which means I've lost the links, the crew, and my comment thingy - and since we still don't have our home computers up, I'm having to post using the school computers, which are decidedly out of date. I can do no special formatting to my posts nor can I edit my template to accomodate the links, crew, and comment thingy.

Add on that I feel completely depressed/angry right now, and Memlu is not a happy camper. X[ I can't start any stories, I'm stuck on the HaoxJeanne fanfic, I feel absolutely crappy about my writing (mood: everything I write feckin' SUCKS!), and I don't know how I'm going to put on my happy face when Loon comes to sleepover at my house tonight.

But, er, yah, I'm still here, Misai. ^^; Just - in techonological hell. And, CTR, at least you HAVE Mankin pins. ;_; I don't have a one...but I weep for Manta. And, of course, as always, hugs for Mandii. :D

Random Short Thoughts:

Okay, this sucks - somehow, my updating my blog at school completely screwed everything up. I've lost my commenting feature, the Mankin Blog Crew, and I just feel like crap.

Flaring chest pain in English; was very motionless and took careful breaths, as usual. I'm a little worried, seeing as I'm healthy and this has been going on for a few years.

Blegh. I'll try to fix everything back up tonight at the public library and/or a friend's house (we STILL don't have our computers up); fortunately, I remember the gist of what everyone last commented on. ^^;

Thanks to all of ya! Hopefully everything will be working again; my apologies and all that crap. On the plus side, I have my archives back!

I turn sixteen today! With that out of the way, onward to the meat of the post.

This is a bit late, but I haven't gone on-line since last Tuesday…

Holy snot, he IS a Spaniard! *crying* Oh, Ryu, my love, they've knowingly turned you into an utter fool, a laughingstock for their own twisted purposes…didn't I see this coming? Didn't I? *sniffles, pauses, grows infuriated* They've turned him into a stereotype! Not to mention their unwitting victim of political correctness because, gosh, why-ever would Japan have /Japanese/ people living there? Oh, that's right! Because the Japanese are the 99% ethnicity in Japan, their - gasp! - native country, and since they (being the dubbers, of course) obviously haven't seen how ethnically diverse Mankin gets, that just won't do. It isn't PC at all for the boy from China to speak with a Chinese accent or the Japanese bully to be - double gasp! - Japanese! So let's all butcher the series so the Mankinfic community gets more out-of-character fun written by illiterate preadolescents with catchy summaries such as: "OMG Rios beetin up poor Morty!!! Whaz Yo gonna do!?!1? Revu plz!!" Only with three more lines of drivel. And more grammatical errors.

(Memlu would like to note here that she began writing fanfiction as a preadolescent, but she was grammatically correct and managed to actually spell the words in the manner the tower of Babel and God intended.)

Whoever they chose to do Ren's voice sounded eerily like the man who did Bakura's voice in Yugioh - crappy British accent and all. (Yes, I listened very closely to the commercial.) On the one hand I weep for Ren-called-Lenny; on the other, I rejoice for Lyserg. Lyserg no get crappy voice! Salvation! (See, when you get down to it…I'm more of a Lyserg fan than a Ren.)

So…now that Ryu - excuse me, Senor Rio de Francesco - has a notably stereotyped accent that is very "flamboyant Spaniard," will this mean they'll actually keep Ryu/Lyserg intact? Probably not, unless-

Oh. God.

They're gonna make Lyserg a feckin' GIRL!

A couple of things to talk about here, on multiple subjects. First, the minor things that can be discussed in a quick summarization thingiemajig.

One: I was hit on by a trio of neo-Nazi skinheads on the way to Virginia.
Two: Block scheduling is the first step towards the coming of the antichrist.
Three: Writing bizarre essays about the physiology of the aliens from the Alien movies is fun.
Four: The One Piece fanfiction section has now officially gone to hell.
Five: Damn is it difficult trying to write PWP HaoxJeanne. Damned philosophy and characterization!
Six: I have Anna/Yoh/Manta ideas.

And now that I've possibly disturbed someone, I'm going to blithely step on to a brief yakkie response thingie. Why? Because I care. *starry eyes*

JSF, man, you really, truly, absofrigginlutely made my day. ^^ Really, you did, and trust me, it's reciprocated - that damned Ryuserg preview tidbit has pretty much inspired a James Bond spoof I'll actually be writing. :D And gal, you kick ASS! (Which reminds me, I'm waiting for Ass Whooper. Quality fanfiction!)

Misai - I think I deleted my Archives when I loaded the Blog Crew. 0o; Possible swearing to be inserted here. I wish I could code, but unfortunately I am what the kiddies call "a complete feckin' idiot" and don't understand half of it. Heck, HTML hurts my brain. >< But, yah, I be in waitin' for more on the Tamao fic. Delicious! (I've finished five pages of the HaoxJeanne smutfic, but the plot keeps biting out chunks. ^^; I think it's gonna be friggin' massive by the time I finish.) You've sparked my curiosity, by the way...

Mandii, I haven't known you long enough to know if you're changing (for better or worse), so I'll just give you a hug. *hugs Mandii* And, yes, I know Memlu hugs aren't half as wonderfully sexy/thrilling/nosebleeding as a Scott McNeil hug but damnit, what do you people want from me? :D If he practices polyamory, think I could bear his child, too? (Kouga~! Silverbolt~! ...Jeebes, I really do have a thing for wolves.) I'll e-mail you my address as soon as I can.

Also, this is for both Mandii and CTR, I've got the Mantou teaser up. I don't know if I've already mentioned it...but I do have it up. It's very much a skeleton at the moment, and only a smidgen of a much larger planned fic, but it's the THOUGHT that matters! Right? (Or at least that's what Mum says when I get crappy birthday gifts. Damn it, I had BETTER get Furi Kuri on DVD this year or I'm gonna start doing...stuff. Oh, yeah. Big threats right there.)

Somebody stop the fangrrls from writing 'Zorro/Luffy.' PLEASE. I can't take anymore US Shonen Jump fangrrls not even bothering to research the series and/or writing Nami as a girly-girl. 0o; And while I understand it can be spelled Zoro and Zorro, I've found the first is the preferred spelling. And I get thoughts of Spaniards dressed in black cutting elaborate Z's in women's bosoms. (While that image involving Zoro is very alluring...)

On a slightly related note, pertaining to the Mankin dub (has it already started airing??), I've got a few questions. Firstly, is Manta/Morty's full name Mortimer Montgomery III? I'm thinkin' 'rich American kid with Bronx accent.' Wait, that's Yugioh. Only he's not rich. (I tease, I tease...) Secondly, I saw this on Mandii's journal - 'Rio'? Apparently Ryu is now a Spaniard, much like Zoro. But, really, I'm only kidding - *grins sheepishly* - I'm practically a friggin' dubbie myself when it comes to anime. Manga, not necessarily, but anime very frequently.

Except for Slayers. God send David Moo to hell.

As a Ryu/Lyserg/Ryu fan, I am curious as to how they're going to work around the whole Ryu/Lyserg thing. Knowing the way these people (being '4Kids') dub anime with 'questionable' material, I'm afraid they'll purposefully make Ryu out to be a complete idiot, sort of a "ha-ha, look, he's too stupid to realize Lyserg's a guy even though he told them!" He knows Lyserg's a boy. Then again, I'm pretty sure this is the same company that dubbed Cardcaptor Sakura, conveniently finding cheesy excuses for Tomoyo's attraction for Sakura - thank God they stopped releasing the dub before they had to start excusing Yukito/Touya.

"Well, see, kiddies, the reason they're in that position is 'cause Touya's zipper got stuck!"

And Fox is the same channel that butchered sweet, sweet Vision of Escaflowne into an incohesive mess. ("It's witchcraft! Take it out!" Never mind it's friggin' vital to the PLOT and you should've known BEFORE you started dubbing!) Again, thank God - they stopped dubbing before those sticky little Dilandau's-a-girl bits. How would they explain THAT?

In my humble opinion, Shaman King would've been better off in the hands of someone good - like, say, the people who arranged the Furi Kuri dub. And have Mankin on Adult Swim? Perfect.

I dread One Piece being owned by FUNimation. 0o;

The weird thing is, no matter how negative all this sounds...I still support the Mankin dub. ^^; I'm such a cheapo at heart.

Anywho, working on an Inuyasha/Kagome AU miniseries, a Ryu/Lyserg bittersweet post-SFiT miniseries, and the HaoxJeanne fic. Yay! :D

I have an Inuyasha-fic teaser up at, yes, Memlu Speaks Fic, that disastrous site of, uh, disaster. And site-ness. Mmm, site-ness! Anywho, it's a Kouga/Kagome, which is mean of me because I'm an Inuyasha/Kagome fan but Kristy said she'd kill me if I didn't write it. And y'know what? Me no likey death. It hurts. A lot. But it's here, so read, weep, and tell me that I should just write my friggin' Ryu/Lyserg fanfic.

Scott McNeil is SEXAY!! XD And I absolutely adore his voice, but somehow I would've preferred him doing Inuyasha's voice, which makes no sense. Mandii, dear, I absolutely loathe you; by the time I get this up the con'll probably be finished but I would KILL for an autograph. And you got hugs?! I'm either in awe or slightly dangerous jealousy.

Oh merciful heavens. This is why I'm slowly growing cynical about fanfiction, although, admittedly, it's much better than some of the stuff I've sat through. Man! I was happier as a lark-chirping, dancing giggle-fest!

Dude, I'm writing me some Haruko/Naota comic-fluff just to make myself feel better. With innuendo! It already tastes good...

So. CTR-sama has reviewed many of my fics. *nods calmly* I've been flattered, complimented, and I feel like DANCING! *shrieks happily and does crazy hippo dance* Really, ya'll have no idea how happy this makes me - y'know when a writer you REALLY look up to reviews a buttload of your writing? Like that. (And I feel guilty for not reviewing her stories when I loves them so muchlies.)

I feel giddy.

Second season of MONK is almost over and while I'm really glad Sharona got a crapload more characterization (and Benji, too!), I'm slightly disheartened to know Monk and Sharona still aren't with the smooching. Though, uh, considering his germ problems...

I feel odd. This is all the fault of The E, who wants to know how the snot I can be RyuxLyserg and not MantaxYoh. Of course, my immediate reaction was to demand what the crap that had to do with my coupling preferences, and then I stopped to think.

Really, most of the RyuxLyserg fans on-line (all, uh, four?) are also MantaxYoh fans, which is pretty cool, but I feel lonely. ;_; The E demands to know why I'm not more fangirly, and Beckna has no idea what I'm yakking about in regards to Mankin (oh gard, she's going to suffer through the DUB!! -says Memlu, who's all for dubs, and thinks Lenny is funny as all get out), and I'm too shy to IM any of the Mankin writers I like. I don't know why, I just can't screw up the courage to IM or even e-mail Misai, or Mandii, or CTR, or Lacewood...

Which has nothing to do with my topic.

Anyway! Yes, I'm a YohxAnna fan (or, preferably, AnnaxYoh, but nobody likes writing her as the dominant one, apparently). Aside from Naota and Haruko, they're my favorite coupling. (And, uh, aside from MulderxScully. That transcends favorites, though, and verges on religion. My apologies, God. ^^) Can't explain why, though...

On the other hand, I find most of the YohxAnna fanfiction to be putrid. Really - I can't take all the cliches and stereotypes, and ESPECIALLY the crappy characterization. Anna is NOT going to act feminine and genteel (that's Tamao, people - write YohxTamao if that's what you're aiming for), and Yoh is NOT going to act butch. Criminy!

I support YohxAnna and I read MantaxYoh.

I need my HarukoxNaota fluff and I need it NOW.

Anyway. I think I'll go and pray that I actually get stuff I want for my birthday this year. Like the Furi Kuri DVDs and all the Mars volumes I'm missing. And the few English-language Inuyasha volumes I don't have. (But Greg - dear, dear, sweet Greg - has implied he went and bought me Mars 8 and 9, as well as Inuyasha 5 and 6. :D I love you so, Greg!)
